Our Story

Uttar Bharat Hydro Power Private limited is earmarked to emerge as the most bankable name in the category of producers of renewable energy.

Consolidated under the Companies Act, 1956 on 22.11.1991 as M/s Jubilee Steels (P) Ltd, it was subsequently renamed Uttar Bharat Hydro Power (P) Ltd on 11.06.1996.

Uttar Bharat Hydro Power Private Limited is an independent producer of non-conventional energy, established to promote sustainable development through various projects. To name one, UBHP has set up three Small Hydro Power projects (SHP) on River Sarju, in Kapkot, Bageshwar district, Uttarakhand in the foothills of the Himalayas, with a total installed capacity of 33 MW.

Promoters

Naresh Goel

Mr Naresh Goel is a first-generation entrepreneur who was fully involved in the conception of the group from the beginning. He has an extensive background in the field of plastic, steel & power industry.

1. For his excellence in leading various projects, he has been lauded with the Bharat Vibhushan Samman Puraskar in May 2015 by GLOBAL ACHIEVERS FOUNDATION.

2. Mr. Naresh Goel has also won the Rajiv Gandhi Samman Puraskar and the Jewel of India Award for Outstanding Achievements by the INDIAN SOLIDARITY COUNCIL.

3. Moreover, he received the Asia Gold Star Award and the Indian Achiever Award for Business Excellence by INDIAN SOCIETY FOR INDUSTRY & INTELLECTUAL DEPARTMENT in 2015 & 2016 respectively.

 His broad knowledge in Corporate Finance and Planning, Investor Relations, Risk Management and Taxation Strategy has led UBHP to greater heights since its inception.

Ambar Timblo

Mr Ambar Timblo, Managing Director, Fomento Resources is a man of vision and devotion.
He completed his schooling at Sharda Mandir, Goa followed by his high school education from Modern School, New Delhi. He graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK with a degree in B.Sc - Economics in 1997.
After his graduation, Ambar joined Fomento Resources and is currently serving as the Managing Director.
Fomento Group is known for its operations in Mining, Mineral Processing, Logistics, Steel, Shipping, Energy, Hospitality and Media.


Raj Kumar Goel

Mr Raj Kumar Goel is a first-generation entrepreneur, who successfully established the SLR Group along with his brother Mr Naresh Goel.
He started SLR Metaliks Ltd in 2005. During his tenure, he served in the areas of Corporate Finance and Planning. With his experience in entrepreneurship and project execution, he plays a huge role in the development of the organization on a sustainable scale to maximize stakeholders' value.

Group

  • UBHP is part of the SLR Group holding diversified interests in Steel and Renewable Energy.
    SLR Group is a joint venture between the Goel and the Timblo families based in Delhi and Goa respectively. SLR Group comprises various entities as described briefly below:

    1. SLR Metalliks Ltd. (www.slrm.co.in)
    Our 0.30 mtpa alloy steel plant spread over 300 acres encompasses a captive power station (6 MW); a guest house and quarters for executives and the workforce.

    Minds and materials converged and the result was a steel plant laced with state-of-the-art facilities to churn over 16 alloy groups comprising various grades of steel.

    The industrial landscape is punctuated with several names in the Alloy Steel domain. We aim to take over the roost in the alloy steel sector. SLRM follows Sinter –PCI- BF-EOF-LRF- VD-CCM steel production route, followed by rolling mill.

    2. Uttar Bharat Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd.
    Uttar Bharat Hydro Power Private Limited is a non-conventional energy provider that was launched to promote sustainable development through a variety of initiatives. UBHP has built three Small Hydro Power projects (SHP) on the Sarju River in Kapkot, Bageshwar district, Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills, with a total installed capacity of 33 MW.
